From Krabi or Ao Nang, a Phi Phi island tour is a speedboat day with hotel pickup: about 45 to 50 minutes out to Phi Phi Le, Maya Bay on foot, Pileh Lagoon, lunch on Phi Phi Don and a beach on Bamboo Island, back in the late afternoon. The plain version is Srisawat’s day, from US$47 a person, rated 4.6 from 1,048 reviews (checked November 2026); the park fee, 400 baht an adult, is paid in cash at check-in. The early-bird, sunset and small-group days cost more and change one thing each.
How the Krabi day works
The van collects you from your hotel in Ao Nang, Krabi town, Klong Muang or Ao Nam Mao; on Railay you wait at the floating pier on Railay East and the boat picks you up there. Areas near the airport, the bus terminal and Krabi’s old town are outside most free pickup zones, so check yours on the listing before you book.
On Srisawat’s day the speedboat crosses in about 45 minutes, with two snorkelling stops on the way. It ties up at the jetty in Loh Samah Bay, where you walk across to Maya Bay, then cruises into Pileh Lagoon and past Viking Cave. Lunch is an international buffet at a beachside restaurant on Phi Phi Don, with halal food and no pork or beef, and the afternoon is free time on Bamboo Island. Mask and snorkel, soft drinks, fruit, accident insurance and a guide are included; a towel and the park fee are not.
Who should pick another day: the listing rules out children under 2, anyone over 60, pregnant travellers and people with heart or breathing problems, and does not recommend the trip within a year of surgery. Its reviews are mostly glowing, 277 of the newest 350 at five stars, and the complaints are the usual ones for a full speedboat: a crowded boat on some days and short stops.

Two of those choices change the day the most. An early start puts you on Maya Bay before most boats: Krabi Ezy Trails’ early bird is from US$79 a person in current promotion (usually US$87), rated 4.9 from 3,533 reviews. A small group keeps the numbers down to about a dozen: Thalassa's day includes the park fee and is from US$116 a person.

Phi Phi or the 4 Islands tour?
They are different days. The 4 Islands tour stays close to Ao Nang, among Krabi’s own islands: the Tourism Authority of Thailand names Ko Poda, Ko Kai (Chicken Island), Ko Mo and Ko Thap among the islands reached by boat from Ao Nang. A Phi Phi tour crosses much further out, about 45 minutes each way, for Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon and the cliffs of Phi Phi Le. If you only have one day and Maya Bay is the reason you came, take the Phi Phi day; the early-bird and sunset days above fit two or three of the Krabi islands in as well.
Before you go
- The park fee. 400 baht an adult and 200 baht a child, in cash on the day unless your listing says it is included. Maya Bay’s rules explains why you walk rather than swim there.
- The closure. Maya Bay is closed every year from 1 August to 30 September, with Loh Samah Bay and Ao Lo Ko; the Krabi days run as usual and cruise past it.
- Rough days. The listings warn that the sea can be bumpy and that the order of the stops changes with tides and weather; if you get seasick, take a tablet before you board and avoid the seats at the nose of the boat.
- Bring swimwear, a towel, a hat and sunscreen, and leave large bags behind.
